Who we are
MedEx is more than a transport service — we’re a team of over 400 highly trained professionals delivering urgent, expert medical response whenever and wherever it’s needed. Locally operated and community-driven, we combine on-the-ground insight with the resources and infrastructure to meet any level of demand.
With a fleet of more than 100 fully powered, modern vehicles and advanced AI-enabled technology, we ensure safe, efficient, and data-driven care on every call. As the exclusive provider for major hospital systems, VA medical centers, and military facilities, MedEx continues to set the standard for trusted, responsive medical transport.
We’re also the only provider in the region with a fully accredited, in-house training institute — licensed by NCOEMS and equipped with an ambulance simulator, virtual reality lab, and complete practice course. Here, the next generation of responders is trained, certified, and prepared to lead with excellence.
WHAT WE DO
MedEx delivers a full spectrum of medical response and support services — from daily transports to large-scale disaster operations — designed to meet the evolving needs of our communities and healthcare partners.
Interfacility & Non-Emergency Transport: Safe, efficient transfer of patients between hospitals, nursing homes, and care facilities, utilizing a modern fleet equipped with powered systems and advanced monitoring tools.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS): Rapid response to critical 911 and backup 911 calls, staffed by certified professionals and supported by advanced dispatch technology.
Disaster Response & Relief: As the primary provider for the NC Disaster Contract, MedEx deploys trained teams and resources to assist with triage, surge transport, and emergency operations when communities need it most.
Training & Certification Programs: Our NCOEMS-licensed institute provides in-house and online training for all levels of emergency medical professionals, using tools like ambulance simulation, virtual reality, and a practice road course.
Mobile Healthcare: Bringing care to the patient, MedEx partners with healthcare organizations to reduce hospital readmissions, improve outcomes, and lower costs through proactive community-based services.
